We had an incredible experience at this hostel. The upbeat atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. We met so many cool people from all over the world and enjoyed the party vibe. Despite some reviews mentioning noise, we didn't mind it as we're night owls. The double room we booked was comfortable and the showers were great. The hostel also serves delicious coconut smoothies and offers a brilliant breakfast. We took advantage of their motorbike rental and went to White Beach, which was only 5km away. The highlight of our stay was the Kawasan Canyoneering tour organized by the hostel. It was an unforgettable experience, jumping off waterfall cliffs and sliding down slopes with a group of 14 or 15 people and excellent guides. The staff at Chief Mau Moalboal Cebu went above and beyond to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. it was an absolute value for money and the best hostel we stayed at during our Southeast Asia trip.

We had a perfect stay at Chief Mau in Moalboal. The hostel had a nice lobby and a great atmosphere. The staff was friendly and always helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were clean at all times. Plus, the parties were amazing! The food, especially the breakfast, was delicious. The hostel is centrally located, so everything you need is right nearby. I would highly recommend Chief Mau for your stay.

After a long day of diving, all we wanted was a relaxing and peaceful rest. Unfortunately, the room we stayed in was right next to the bar, making it impossible to sleep until the lights were out, usually after midnight.

the location was perfect and the staff went above and beyond to help with organizing activities and travel arrangements. the hostel had a great social atmosphere, making it easy to meet other travelers without it being a party place. the dorm rooms, toilets, and showers were luxurious compared to other places I've stayed. One highlight was the Kawasan falls canyoneering tour organized by the hostel. the guides were amazing and took plenty of photos for us. the food and drinks at Chief Mau were also reasonably priced, and their rice bowls were my favorite in the Philippines. I highly recommend Chief Mau for anyone staying in Moalboal. Cons: Nothing, everything was great! 😊.
